Anybody know if the sonar bulb (ringed item in the pic) are available commercially, or do I have to make one?

    Most likely DIY. Also depends

Most likely DIY. Also depends on what scale you need.

I'd make a master from balsa or foam, then coat well with resin and glass tissue, finish with polyester filler/putty.

    Couple of hours work, tops.

    Or, how about fishing bobs?

              Rich what you have shown

Rich what you have shown on your photo is not a sonar bulb but a towed aray housing on the Akula boats. It holds the aray and cable. At least that is what I have been told. BD.

                I knew that...

To be honest I hadn't a clue what it was called...sonar bulb seemed to fit the bill nicely, so a sonar bulb it was called. Thanks for putting me right Dave...
