    Hitec Eclipse 7 radio problems

    Guys (and gals, I suppose),
My Hitec Eclipse 7 radio has just blown something and no longer transmits. The display on the front constantly shows "15.5V" (it's a 9.6v radio) and I am still able to adjust the various functions on each of the 7 channels in the radio.

Could this simply be a blown fuse of some sort or something more serious?
Is it a "modulator" (?) that processes and transmits the signal?

I'm taking it to a large hobby store here in Sydney tomorrow to see if they have a diagnosis / repair service anyway.

    What are your thoughts............

Thankfully I was able to get my hands on an identical, 2 year old, unused one today.

    Well I've never encountered a

Well I've never encountered a fuse on a TX, and as other functions on the transmitter work, it sounds unlikely it's a power problem.

      Well the RF module on

Well the RF module on that radio is replaceable, it should just clip on the back of the unit. You may be able to try a new one out at the store.

        I've done all that as

I've done all that as soon as it "broke down" but no change. It's definately something to do with the radio itself. Oh well, it's off to the shop today.
