Any information on which manufacturers make a kit of the German Type 23 U-boat?

    Thanks,

    Rich,

    Rich,

.....I assume that you are looking for a hull kit for R/C?

OTW makes a very good kit of the Type XXIII in 1/25th scale. They're located pretty much in your 'backyard'.

You can sometimes find the old 32nd Parallel kit (in 1/32nd scale, of course).

Special Navy has a 1/72nd kit, but I've not (yet) heard of anyone making it R/C.

I'm sure I missed a few, but this is a start. Hope this helps!

        Steve,

....looks *very* good! Too bad it was so much work, otherwise it would make a nice sized pool boat.

          Thanks Jeff and Steve...the 32nd

Thanks Jeff and Steve...the 32nd Parallel boat was the one that started my search for a Type 23, I read it about ages ago in a Scale Ship Modeller All Sub Special issue(which I still have)and ever since I've wanted to build a 23.

I've come into a spot of extra cash recently(plenty of overtime)and seeing as how the 1/32nd scale U-441 is to be put on hold for a while, it seems a good time to start on a Type 23 as a winter project.

I'd like a decent scale to work with this time around(sorry Steve, but 1/96th and 1/72nd scale is getting awkward to see nowadays!)so a nice 32nd Parallel kit would be ideal if one was to turn up.

Thanks again for your help guys, much appreciated.

            Rich,

The OTW kit is 1/25th scale....that's a very nice sized boat. Larger than the 32nd Parallel kit.

It looks to be a nice boat Jeff....I'm thinking it may be time to flex the power of my new credit card!

I take it then that the 32nd Parallel are no more?
