During the reggatta much info was given and exchanged and one courious and interesting bit of voodo came too light.
Apparently the best way too store your lipo cells for long periods up too 1 year is too tightly wrap the pack in kitchen cling wrap!
While there is no solid scientific explanation for this , Rick Gallinson checked his packs just days befor the show after sitting all year and found they still retained a full charge!
After consulting with an electronics engineer , a chemical engineer , and my wife , kitchen wrap does keep freshness in.
The best explanation being that the reduction of oxygen permitted too infiltrate into the polymer matrix , maintains the electron stability orbit and slows the decay rate on a sub atomic level..
