From what I've gathered, the forum owner wanted to step back from the time and effort it took to maintain the site and focus on other things. He sought a buyer to take it over from among its members. The asking price was significant.

Many of the more prominent contributing members were upset by this development. They had made significant donations of time, and the majority of the content, over the years.

As a result, a group of them have created their own site: http://nautilussubmarine.com/forum/.

I was pretty surprised as well. Things are certainly moving forward at "collision speed, full" over on the new site. They should have access to much of the content of the old site.

It says 500 plus posts but I only see 3 threads and much less posts?

Maybe you have to join first to see the 500 + posts?

Ya gotta join to see the posts. Decent stuff there. It will be interesting to see how the site develops. Seems that they're a bit more "free-spirited" in regards to policing posts and such. Bring your "A" game or go home!
