From the postings above, I gather that Stabilit Express is not a widely known product in the US. Perhaps not surprisingly, as it is a German product, made by Henkel. It has, however, quite a good reputation with European modellers.
For what it's worth, I have been using Stabilit Express for years in my model ships (aka targets
) and it has never let me down, even when it was exposed to water for quite some time. Although, to be on the safe side, covering it with a thin layer of paint would probably be best, if only for esthetical purposes.
