    Do it!!
I am building one in the building thread. A Trumpetor is an excellent choice for a pool size boat, and first build.
Currently there are two ways to go with the internals. Mike Caswell has a nearly drop in wtc setup for fast building and is first rate D@E components. You cannot go wrong.
Big Dave also sells an RCAB system using the blood pressure cuff system. The RCAB is fairly complete, but does require assembly (a little more time).
Look in the building thread and you will find Kevin Price built a subdriver system, and I am taking my time on the RCAB.
It cannot get any easier, and is a lot of fun.

Yup the trumpter boat is an easy one to get in the water and in my opinion anyone could assemble it with the fittings kit D&E provides.

Good luck and lets us know if you need help.

        I have a 15x 30

I have a 15x 30 pool and I have found the Trumpeter Seawolf a little difficult to operate in such a small pool, but I am an inexperienced r/c operator.

However, the Trumpeter KILO with a D&E Sub-driver is a completely different operation. It is the perfect pool submarine, in my opinion.

I'm sure getting rid of the pumpjet on the Seawolf will help it become more maneuverable for small pools. But then again it won't be a Seawolf anymore.

A 1/144 permit would be a pretty small boat but, me feelings about it now are that if it can be done to the Kilo why not those aswell?

                  Nuke Power,

Good call about the 1/1/44 Los Angeles Sub! I've always wanted one of those. Or how about a 1/192 Ohio?

What is it with people and their insistence on "large" submarines? Size matters, but does it always have to be bigger?

I have been running a Plexiglas clip on rudder extension on my 1/144 Seawolf for years now and the turning radius is excellent.
It is almost invisible in the water, and pops off when its out so the sub still looks scale. It is great for running in smaller pools. BD.
