Very nice! And that choppy stuff is the buffereing. Once you get to the end of the video play it again and it will run perfectly smooth.

        Yo Steve -
It's nice to have a higher quality place to post videos.

Unfortunately, if your pal doesn't fix the choppy buffering problem and the fact that it won't work with those of us with Yahoo email accounts - he is not going to see much success.

Tim I canceled my YouTube account. That place is one step close to a porno site and not what I would call family friendly. You ever read the rude and nasty comments they allow there? Makes our friend Merriman look quite saintly.

That coupled with the poor quality really puts it low on my list. For many it's the traffic there and how many millions will see what they do. For me I can't be bothered not unless they clean up their act.

They know the general public is pretty ignorant which is why they get away with the poor quality. So many of these poor people have HDTV and still watch it set at D1 NTSC.

They have a message when you sign up that they have been having a problem with Yahoo email accounts and that you may need to have them activate your manually I never got a confirmation email to activate my account. It takes a lot of searching to find an email address to send a manual activation request to.

              Not very user friendly.

The same thing happened to me. I looked for a way to contact them and could not find one. So I just waited a couple of hours and then tried again to log on and it went right through.

                  I take it back...

I got my account activated by using a non-Yahoo email sign up.

The trick to having the videos play smoothly is to watch them from your desktop connected to your high speed internet connection. It doesn't seem to work (for me) watching on my laptop with wi-fi hook up. Just not enough speed for non-choppy play back. It would be nice if they had a "contact us" however.

This is the first footage I took last fall in Carmel with my Oregon Scientific camera.

Excellant video Tim! How were you able to get such a large file to upload on that site? When I tried to upload a 3 minute video it said that the file was too big. Your video was 8 min. 31 sec. Whats your secret? Mark

I got that message too, so then I shrunk it down with my video editing program to about 99 MB or so. It would be nice to know what the maximum size allowed is so we wouldn't have to guess.

I just tried to access the Wavelit site (11 AM CDT) and I can't get it to open. Anyone else having problems with it?

                          They are back up. And

They are back up. And about the buffering Tim. since they stream there videos this can be caused by the nets current condition at the time. I don't always get it. But once it loads it stops this. Just let it load and then play it again.

This morning, I uploaded a body recovery training video (no RC subs!) from the office that was requested by an agency in another state. Quicker and cheaper than Fed Ex-ing them a DVD!

I did it about 7 years ago, so the u/w stuff was shot on High 8. Looks ok - even though I had to downsize it due to its 20 minute length. http://wavelit.com/media/613/Chisago_Co ... ry_System/

It uploaded very quickly, but when viewing it I notice it will stop to buffer -even with the high speed T1 line here in the building.

Steve - I suspect you are correct that depending on how busy the Net is, will determine how fast she will squirt through the wires.

Yes Tim it's true. when I watched your Regatta video from the 23 this morning it loaded faster than I could play it and it was smooth as glass and no jerky water. Things look better at 29.95 FPS.

                              Great video BTW.

If you ever talk to the guy, maybe suggest a patch where you could wait until it downloads before playing.
