Count your blessings if you missed out on one of these radio's.
I got one with with an extra 6chan rec, so far that was the only thing that worked. The 8 chan rec would not link up with the transmitter and was replaced, the replacement did work. The transmitter RF output was so weak it would not operate with any receiver on a bench past 150 feet with the antenna fully extended. The transmitter was returned and I am presently awaiting repair/replacement. Everything is slowly being adressed but who knows what I will end up with.
Quite by accident I ran across a like new 7 channel Multiplex Cockpit MM 2.0 radio in 75mhz the other day so the situation is not a project stopper.
I may keep the Tracker III as a backup when it is returned if it works with a receiver in a submerged WTC or I may make it available if anyone really wants one that bad. Will report back on the final outcome.
      Bob.

Not really collecting....but trying to find (more) crystal-based units. These are getting very hard to find ever since the introduction of the synth module (which cannot be gotten on 75MHz).

I check Ebay from time to time. Our crystal RF decks will fit in any of the EVO's according to the Multiplex tech. BD.

                I just broke my Tracker

I just broke my Tracker out of the box and I'm having a HUGE amount of issue getting the receiver to pair up with the xmitter. Frustrating as hell...

It synched up after a bit of play when I was building my WTC, but then became "disassociated" and started doing funky stuff. When I tried to re-pair them, I can't get it to synch no matter what I try.

I wish I'd never sold my Futaba 9ch...

                  I tested my second Seeker

I tested my second Seeker II replacement receiver today and it works, BUT still generates constant jitter/chatter from the servo, just like the previous unit did..before it stopped working altogether.

At least my transmitter seems to be working correctly!

I will probably just use the Futaba R127DF 7-channel FM receiver that I bought (used) a month ago instead of the Seeker II. As I experienced rock solid operation with no servo jitter when I tested the Tracker III with that Futaba receiver (along with 3 other Futaba 7-channel receivers).

I may get a Futaba R168DF 8-channel FM receiver in addition, so I can use the 8th channel.

Even after buying both of these Futaba receivers the total spent will be FAR less than the mentioned Multiplex Evo 9-channel radio (which is $465 to $500 when I looked it up online and I think that was for the transmitter ONLY).

If I were to do this whole thing over, I would try to obtain a Futaba 7CAP or 9CAP radio system instead. But you live and you learn and get burned...

Never tried the F14. The complexity always worried me a bit. I like the simplicity of the old 4-6 channel radios. I guess I am stuck in the early 1980s!

The 80's were great Matt!! I remember you telling me years ago that a futaba 4or 6 channel radio is good for my alpha well...... I got an Ace Radio (cheap at the time) thought it was good deal. well... it worked ok
but Ace radios just dont hold up to the test of time, Im going to swap out
soon because the radio is falling apart. i guess the tried-n-true futaba
                    is still a winner.

Well....I have been out of the Radio loop for some time now!! did what i said above and wow!! it sounds like as far as feq's for subin, our backs are against the wall. please correct me, I went to the hobby shop asked for a radio in surface feq and was handed a 2.4 gig (I know this wont work
in subs) took a look around and all i saw was 2.4 everywere. Is there
anything left for us to use besides the multiplex and polks anymore?
a friend showed me a hi tec radio that had a plug in box on the back of the transmitter for changing out feq's but he said they are drying up to.

Thank God I canceled my Tracker order and bought a Futaba 9C Super @ 75 MHz. I can convert it to 2.4 GHz for flying and back to 75 MHz for "boating". It wasn't easy finding a 9C @ 75 but Google came through.
