    After reading these posts recently,

After reading these posts recently, I understood the conversation to be that the Tracker III radios would no longer be available in the 75mhz, or ground frequency version for some reason or another—government directed or what-not.

Seeing as how I have one of these radios I wanted to see if I could get a few more receivers before they go away. So I called John to ask.

The problem with the batch of radios was that they came in at 75 mhz, but didn't meet the FCC requirements for calibration, so they were rejected. The new radios are those which were sent back to be recalibrated in order to pass.

But he is still going to sell the 75 mhz (ground frequency) radios. The change is that the air frequency radios are all going to the 2.3 ghz (?) band, not the ground versions.

Also, he has 75 mhz receivers in stock if anyone wants just more of those like I do—$70 each.

I need to call him. Last I heard back in October, they were still waiting on their supplier and were going to honor the promotion. My GATO conversion will require a 6-channel setup, this looks like the best deal around, so I will wait for it.

            As of this week, John

As of this week, John Gil said that the radios are somewhere between China and the USA. Then customs will have a turn with them. He is not sure when we will see them.

                I gave up long ago

I gave up long ago and sourced a Tracker III from elsewhere.

Given that I was told that Polk was awaiting customs clearance in California back in July, I have no confidence in ever seeing more units show up.

Talked with john last week. Same story as back in July. Wonder what's going on. Jeff, where did you find the Tracker III?

                    Darrin, I met your friend

Darrin, I met your friend Ethan at a D.A.K. tank battle event a few weeks ago here in Phoenix. He sent me a few pictures of your completed OTW S-Class submarine. The sub, as with every other model I've seen of yours, looks wonderful. I also saw the green wooden tank carrying box you built that he is using for one of his tanks. What radio did you end up using with your S-Class?

Jeff, like Darrin asked, where did you obtain your Tracker III from?

                      I bought mine from Tony

I bought mine from Tony Gallonio, one of my SubRon4 buddies. I don't know if he has any extras left.

                      ....Tony....?

                          Thanks Steve,

I am using a Futaba 6 channel skysport on 75. Simple radio but a bit of work setting up linkages compared to computer radios.

                            TRACKERS ARE IN THE WAREHOUSE!!!!

The Trackers are in a warehouse at Polks as of this week. They are awaiting a few items to finish the system. They should ship by the first week in April. This is from John Gill at Polks . Hope that this is not a false promise or smoke screen. He said that they have 1000 radios in the warehouse and will start calling/notify all of us that have one on order.

                                Re: TrackerIII Radio sale $99.

Polk Hobby has a sale on their TrackerIII Radio set for $99. Includes NiCads, Seeker II Rx, and one servo. This is a fantastic price for a computerized radio. #PLK13002 for ground frequency. Not in regular or sale catalogue.
Ph.# 973 351 9800. Ask to speak to John Gill, if there is a problem ordering. Extra receivers 8Ch or 6Ch available at $40 each, with Radio set purchase.
Is this still available to those who did not preorder?
