    TrackerIII Radio sale $99.

Polk Hobby has a sale on their TrackerIII Radio set for $99. Includes NiCads, Seeker II Rx, and one servo. This is a fantastic price for a computerized radio. #PLK13002 for ground frequency. Not in regular or sale catalogue.
Ph.# 973 351 9800. Ask to speak to John Gill, if there is a problem ordering. Extra receivers 8Ch or 6Ch available at $40 each, with Radio set purchase.

      I believe Polk's is trying

I believe Polk's is trying to reduce their inventory of air freq, Tracker radios because they are coming out with 2.4 Ghz models. We surface modelers can benefit, because the old ground freq. (75 MHz sets) are better for our use.

        Yep! Its a great deal

Yep! Its a great deal for you guys! Get 'em while they are hot!

It sucks for Polk's distributors, as they can no longer sell the products they bought at almost double that price and still have in inventory, and there are no further breaks for distributors. $99 one price fits all! Now thats smart marketing!

To all those folks that have recently purchased Trackers through Caswell Inc. please accept my apologies, there is very little I can do about this.

Unbelievable. I guess we'll be canceling our distributorship with Polk.

        Phew!

        PS Nice signature Art!

                How many channels are these

How many channels are these radios capable of ? I know ZIP about radios, so if this sounds stupid, excuse my ignorance. I need LOTS of channels to run some on board toys.

Is this freq. better for subs because it's able to penetrate water deeper ? ....I believe I read that in a post recently, lower freq = penetrate water deeper = better for subs.

                Thanks,

                Mylo

                  Mylo,
These are 8 channel radios, 6 proportional, and 2 3-way switched, but you can operate more than one function from each channel.

                    do they plan on canceling

do they plan on canceling production of the seeker 6 and 8 channel rx. That would really be a downer for me. I put them in everything!

Does anyone know what the operating range of the Polk Tracker III and Seeker II Rx combo (75mhz and 72mhz) is?

I am looking for a transmitter receiver combo that will have a range of at least 1000 feet, preferably 1500+ feet for the 72mhz version (for airplane use).

And for 75mhz (submarine use), would want a range of at least 500 feet.

Thanks to anyone who can provide this info...
