From the Vice President

I am announcing that I will not be running for reelection as Vice President.

It has been a privilege to represent the Subcommittee and it's interests, and been something I have really enjoyed.
My reason is to more fully focus on my number one task-to-be-done, my second book, which is taking much of my time, and to get back to building submarines.
It has also been an honor to serve with Tim Smalley, the President, and the tireless workings of the executive committee.
And Pete, you do a fantistic job !

It is time for someone else's turn. New ideas, new energys.
This is not my Subcommittee. It belongs to us all.

I remember LaRue talking about someone needing to step up as he could not run anymore. I remember calls for help with articles for the Report, and reading critics voiice on the web, but no one stepping up.
I decided to jump in and do what I am good at. Russian submarine information. I was in all the issues for the next year.
Then, I saw a coming void on the executive committtee, and stepped up.
It is time for someone else to step up and take a turn.
You have come out of nowhere, and done very well Kevin. I don't remember anyone at the pool side more than you at the regatta.
Step up, or anyone who feels they would look out for the best intersts of this fine organization, and the best camadere I have ever seen.

I am a friend of the VP Wayne, he has done a great job here along with Tim, and the rest of the staff of the SC!

I see where Kevin Price would like the job as VP of the SC, I think he would do a fine job! I Second the notion that Kevin be the SubCommittee Vice President.

At this early hour I am not sure if Kevin has been officially nominated. But I just emailing Jeff Larue to do just that.
It will need to be seconded by someone. Probably better to email Jeff directly to do that, and a cursory post on the board.
