I'm building a model of Le Redoutable (S 611) and I was needing the hull color top and bottom. I don't know if the French used a red below as a waterline color and if the top was just dull black. Thanks in advance.
This photo shows a section of the boat being dismantled, I don't think they would overpaint it all black just to bother us modelers]http://www.sous-mama.org/IMG/SNLE-LeRedoutableDementellement.jpg[/img]
I confirm what was written here. Our subs are all black.
If you want I took many pictures of Le Redoutable on display at Cherbourg.
Could you tell me more about your project, scale, tech., etc...??
Hey Antoine,
It's a Heller model I've had for a while and decided to build. It's a pretty good kit. Thanks for the help!
beware of the screw... it was nevr counterrotating
I noticed that so I only used one screw. I think the boat looks like TRITON in a way. I wish someone had made TRITON and SKATE into kits. I never understood why Revell or some other company never made them.
