Subcommittee Funding - Australian SubRegatta

Dear Executive,
as you would know the Australian Sub Regatta is going to be held in March 2008 and will be frequented by SC members.

I was wondering what financial assistance would be available from the SC for this event should the organisers wish to seek such assistance?

Hello John,
The local chapters such as the one I am in, Sub Ron 5, generally handle the expenses within the group, and always have. It seems to go well without much issue.
However, if you have some unusual expenses that the group is having trouble solving, or just want to ask how the rest of us do regattas, please email me. I will be happy to help figure out how to get you guys going.

Yes I am not speaking on behalf of the organisers - my posting should be pretty clear that this was a query as to what could be on offer SHOULD it be requested or sought. That said I have discussed my post with the organisers who are not seeking anything - but nonetheless it is an interesting question.

ACT Model boat club is hosting this event and there is a regatta fee we all pay and have done so for the prior two regattas. ACT do a fantastic job. Given that Tim stated in posts he deleted that SC membership fees also contributed to the annual SC regatta, I was enquiring as to whether or not other regattas could be supported too in some small way by the SC. The question has now been answered by Wayne.

By the way Dave you would well know my name is John - I would appreciate some respect from you in not addressing me the way you have.
