I've bought 10 of them
I've bought 10 of them for future projects and probably will be fitting one into (or is that out of) my Engel TYpe IX, U-861 for the bow planes.
I'll most likely be doing that job within a week or two. I'll post results of their performance.

I don't think the question
I don't think the question is "....will it work"?
I think it's going ot be a case of "...how long will it work for"?
Hopefully weather conditions tomorrow will allow me to run some tests in the pool.
I've fitted the thing and it all works fine, although I may change the channel that it's on.

I've finally tested the servo
I've finally tested the servo in the pool and all works fine.
Just remember to seal the connection of the extension and servo leads.
I'm hoping to get to the club lake today or tomorrow and really test this during a good, long run.

I recently installed bow planes
I recently installed bow planes in my Albacore and have been testing it. I am sorry to say that after all that work the waterproff servo is not waterproff after all. After two short trips to the local pond its operation tells me that its got water in it.Now what to do? If I hurry and send it back to Tower hobby I might be able to get a refund. Now that water has gotten in it I dont want it anymore. On a previous posting someone mentioned installing o-rings around the shaft. I would assume that Traxxas has already done that.

I just called Tower Hobbies
I just called Tower Hobbies and they only offer a 30 day warranty on them. So I called Traxxas. They told me that they also only warranty these servos for 30 days. However since the servo is not designed to be actually submerged underwater yet they themselves are calling it waterproff they agreed to send me another one at no charge. They do suggest taking additional steps to seal it up before submerging it.
