My last 3 posts on this site have been exercises in frustration. I log in, get the message blank, fill it in and hit the Submit button, and get returned to the Log-in screen. OK, re enter name & PW, get the message blank screen again, retype the message, hit Submit, and get returned (again!!) to the log in screen. After 4-5 rounds, it suddenly lets me post the message. Anyone else having this issue??

sorry to hear that you are having trouble Tom, I have been posting like krazy lately. Could it be browser troubles? Can you post by using a different computer, like the one at your job or a friends house?

Hi Tom,
I seem to remember you having the same or similar problem a while ago. Try forcing your browser to flush its cache by hitting the "reload" button. If that doesn't work, manually log off and then log back on.
Please let me know if this makes any difference.

Thanks to all. Jeff- I
Thanks to all. Jeff- I will follow your idea and see if that solves the problem. It's a "flaky" problem, not consistent and so it can be hard to figure out whether you have solved it for good or not.
For instance, this post took 5 attempts to post, and 22 attempts to log-in! (I am cutting and pasting the message each time it fails, and then incrementing the number of attempts! I also *carefully typed my user name & PW, making sure I had the case right )

Hi Tom,

Hi Tom,
I don't have any problems with the Subcommittee web site.... BUT!!! First, I had McAfee Security Center installed on my PC and could not post an update to the Uboat.net site, nor could I purchase books from Amazon.com after the latest McAfee updates. I was totally frustrated...
Since I use Road Runner, I decided to trash McAfee and use the Computer Associates Security Center provided by Time Warner. I can now order books from Amazon.com, but I still had a problem with the login at Uboat.net. I discovered that if I disable the CA Firewall, I can login to Uboat.net. Then I can enable the Firewall and all still works fine. If I don't log-out, then the next time I visit Uboat.net my login is remembered and all still works fine....
It seems that all the Windows Security Protection is making it almost impossible to do the things that one has become accustomed to doing. No magic bullet, just a suggestion….
