I'm working on a 1/72 scale Alpha, which will have a Will Oudmayer, home made, piston ballast tank with static diving and auto depth keeping capablities. I should be water testing this boat by the first of the new year. I'm also collecting parts for a 1964 modernzation of a Type XX111 U-boat. According to "THE U-BOAT BOOK" by Rossler, they were increased in length by 1.2 meters to allow for a new generator. Everyone does the Type XX111 as they were during the war. I thought this might be a little differnt. If all goes well I hope to be able to come to the Sub Regatta next year with at least one of them. Best Wishes on your projects. Mike Dory

Tim, Good to hear from
Tim, Good to hear from you. Yup, I have two 32 P. Type XX111 hulls and I looking at cutting out a section and lengthing one of the hulls. Should make a great addition to my U-boat fleet don't ya think. You must admit you don't see many of them. I can use the same torpedo systems as all the other boats and of course a number of other items will be interchangable as well. This should also help keep the cost down a little. But first I need to complete my Alpha. Best Wishes on your projects Mike Dory
