      MMMHHHH....I would say a U-class

MMMHHHH....I would say a U-class or V-class british submarine. But which one ?
UPSTART ? UPROAR ? It seems there is a "E" in her name....but it doesnt match with all the U Class (2nd group) and V-class.

      Lets try yourself

      Ulleswater, Uproar, Ultimatum, Umbra, Unbending,
      Unbroken, Unison, United, Unruffled, Unshaken,
      Unrivalled, Unseen, Unruly, Upstart,
      Unsparing, Untamed, Universal,
Ultor, Varne, Vox, Varangian,Uredd (ex-P41) , Usurper ; Untamed, Vandal

      Venturer, Viking, Vox, Veldt, Vampire,
      Vivid, Virtue, Voracious, Upshot,
      Varne, Urtica, Variance, Vortex,
      Volatile, Virulent, Vineyard,
      Vengeful, Vagabond, Votary.

        hey antoine,

        You'll have to do

        hey antoine,

You'll have to do better than that. I'll need the number it is known by. The name and type are unknown to me. Your first guess proved my info wrong as I expected to begin with.

This sub has a large number painted on the bow. I'm going to need that one.

P.s. I'm still looking for the adres of the place where you can buy a Walrus drawing. Just that I've been a bit busy the last weeks

          I wont guess the number......but

I wont guess the number......but it looks like a foreign U class sub. Why not the dutch Dolfin or the Norwegian Ula (ex P66 Varne, ex Dutch Haai)...??

            It is definitely a U/V

It is definitely a U/V class British design. Some of these U/V class boats were transferred to the Polish, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Greek, French, and Russian Navies, many forming the Royal Navy's 9th submarine flotilla.

Judging from the uniforms, it appears to be the Royal Norwegian Navy submarine 'Ula', (former HMS Varne - P66). Ula was the most successful of the Norwegian subs during WWII.

            Here is another quiz image.
Any guess? I don't have to have the individual boats name, nor the steel yard where the dang rivets came from, I will settle just for the class name.

Ok........it seems that I managed to find more precisions about that submarine.
When you look closely to her name, you can read "Utstein"...
it seems to be the former british V class P68 "Venturer" that became later the norwegian "Utstein".
But what is bothering me is the identification number.....S302. It does not match with the ex V Class.
S302 seems to be the number of the "Utstein", yes, but of the more recent Ula class
Strange thing........am I in the twilight zone

Now lets find Steve's sub !!!!

the vessel was a 70-ton Yugo-class submarine, which normally carries four to five crewmen. North Korea is believed to have several such vessels.

I clipped this from the internet, I hope im right!

                              This one was easy. It

This one was easy. It is the French submarine 'Gymnote'. Gymnote was originally to be France's first nuclear powered submarine (known then as Q244 - cancelled 1959). The United States (Rickover) withheld these nuclear technologies to France and the Netherlands, but not to the United Kingdom. France would develope aggressively & rapidly it's own nuclear propulsion program, with the first French nuclear submarine eventually becoming the 'Le Redoutable' SSBN, the first SSBN of France's so called 'Force de dissuasion'. The Q244 hull was still available when a trials vessel for the French 'Polaris' type missiles was required, and was completed as 'Gymnote'. Note the unusual stern shape of Gymnote, simular to SSN-571. Also her huge bilge keels.

Above is a new quiz image. I will accept any one or all of the subs is the class as a correct answer.

                              Regards,
