Type VIIc/41 and type IXC Tower compatibility

This question shows my ignorance, but...what the hell. Why should I be worried about such things now..........

For those of you aware, I'm building a VIIc/41. My question is, is the tower on the VIIc/41 the same as the tower on a IXC ? They look awefully close to me. Are there any towers for a type IX variant that are the same as the VIIc/41 ? Reason for asking.....I was contemplating what my next project will be. If my VIIc/41 tower will fit nicely on a type IX, then I know which boat to build next.

It's a while down the road but, .....I found myself thinking of it and thought I'd ask.

I`m sorry but I forgot

I`m sorry but I forgot what scale your boat is,but if it`s 1/72 Warhammer makes a great tower kit with all the fittings needed to make the many mods that were made on the boats during the war.I don`t know about interchange between boats,but there is a German company called "DreamArts" that does make towers for both boats and in the bigger scales,but the site is in German,but the pictures tell the story.

I think that the towers do indeed differ between the two boats - that said I guess you would have to check the drawings for comparision, and you already have the VII drawings.

The designs for the towers of the VII and IX were visually very similar, but not in terms of size and some of the equipment placement.

I figured you'd come through with the difinitive answer. Again, if they were the same, I thought I'd be able to save myself 100 hours or so by not having to build another tower from scratch.

You misunderstood why I was asking. My VIIc/41 is 1:25 scale. *WHEN* I build another U-Boat, it will also be 1:25 scale. I was hoping that the tower on a type IX (whatever variant) would be the same as on a type VIIc/41. That way, I wouldn't have to build this part again but instead, simply just cast another tower that I've already made all the molds for.....save myself HOURS.
