    Flak Plans

    Hey,

Anybody have any good 20mm and 37 mm Flak gun plans, or know where a guy could get some ?

    Thanks,

    Dunno about the 37mm, but

Dunno about the 37mm, but John Lambert does drawings for a 20mm Oerlikon. They're VERY good drawings.

Still looking for some 37 mm plans / diagrams.

....they seem to be a little rare, wonder why ? Is this not a fairly common Flak platform ?, particularly on U-boats ?

                If you run out of

If you run out of luck looking for blueprints, you might consider getting a smaller scale plastic kit, and using that as a reference.

Tamiya do some 37mm flak guns in 1/35th scale. They tend to be for land based vehicles, not sure if there are differences between those and the aquatic variants.

....maybe someone has an answer to that ? It seems to me they are different in some way.

                  Good idea though.

I've been using my 1/72 Revell VIIc for a lot of reference for things such as weld lines, deck details, and similar such things. No 37mm on it though.

                      Andy,

                      Andy,

                      Excellent reference photos

                      but...

That one is a quad 20. (very cool, but not a 37mm).

I wonder if the mount is basically the same, but instead of 4x20mm, have just 1x37mm ?

As well, I need those twin 20 mounts for the upper wintergarten flak.

The flak guns are listed in CM so this is the 3.7CM (or 37MM) single mount with the shield.
