    Requin around the corner

So today, I was in Pittsburgh for a meeting of local cell phone dealers. My business partner and I were taking a stroll around Heinz Field (home of the Steelers!) where our meeting was being held, trying to kill 30 minutes or so before we had to go inside and listen to hours of not-so-fun speeches.

We were alking around the outside of the stadium, and quite literally, as we came around the back side of the stadium, we stumbled on the Requin.

Even though I only live 45 minutes south in northern West Virginia, it had completely slipped my mind that this boat was still on display in the city.

I snapped a few photos with my phone before we had to walk back to our meeting. Thought I would post them.... not really a boat of interest for me, but I'm sure it is to someone.

If anyone needs more images I will be returning later this spring to take the $5 tour of the interior.

Erich, if you could get pictures of the sail top and bridge area, many of us (well, some, anyhow) would be very greatful.

      Hi Erich...If you could get

Hi Erich...If you could get some photos of the ship , that would be great.
I've been to Pittsburg several times on business, been to Heinz Field and had dinner across the river...and never knew that the sub was there.

        Mike: nex titme im in

Mike: nex titme im in the city I will do my best. Might be a bit of a challenge to find an area high enough to get good shots of the sail top, but i'll give it a try.

Chuck: the boat has been sitting there for years and years, one of those things you just kind of forget about somehow. next time your at Heinz, go to the open gate end (scoreboard end), stand facing the river, then start walking to your right. couple hundred yards around the bend and youll bump right into it
