    Hello Geo_Sim,

The book "The U-Boat:The Evolution and Technical History of German Submarines." (page 41 and 51) or the German version "Geschichte des deutschen U-bootbaus", Band 1 (page 61 and 78 ). Both books are by Egerhard Rossler.

Both books have two drawings; UB I and UB II. The German version has larger and better drawings.

        Model pictures during construction

As i promise i will post some pictures with my first submodel, the revell 1:72 VIIc.Please note that i'm not ussing a WTC, because i haven'tfind any lexan tubes in Romania.
I simply use one of kit's wall and than made another sealed wall inside of the boat and then put the all electronics, water ballast tank accus between them.

                            Trimming subs

Nice work Geo! Especially for a first effort.

You might want to try just a little more weight towards the bow. It shouldn't need too much.

To trim your sub, let all the air out and see if it stays level at your chosen submerged trim depth. A lot of guys trim their boats so just a tiny bit (1/16"- 1/8" - 1.58mm - 3.175mm) of the conning tower emerges from the surface. Then you drive it down with the planes when running - we call this the "chicken trim". If anything goes wrong, you have a little positive buoyancy to bring it back to the surface.

If she isn't level at submerged trim, take a small chunk of lead (Skip Asay uses coins) and move it around on the deck until the boat is level with a full ballast tank or empty air bladder. Then silicone glue the weight inside the hull - and way down low.

Today i will run the sub again and try to trim it the way that TMSmalley said.I will post some picture or a video later, after the "run".
