Need a hand from anyone in or near Atlanta, GA

    I blame it on Steve.

    He made me do it.

And now I have a couple of models that currently reside in Atlanta that somehow need to find their way home to me. I grabbed them off of Ebay and the seller will not ship them (too much work to pack, I assume). Local pickup/dropoff only.

The first is a built-up Revell Type VII and the second is the Revell Flower class corvette. Sizeable models, to be sure.

What I was wondering was if anyone was near there that would be willing to grab the models for me, pack them up and ship them out to me. I'd compensate you for the time, of course.

If you can, I would be most appreciative. Please post here or fire off an email to me at bob@rc-sub.com.

    Thanks, guys!

      All FYI
      Here is my experience

      All FYI
Here is my experience with shipping model subs
Bottom line is - if the buyer is paying shipping you should have a copy of the receipt from either fedex or ups or whom ever, before you actually commit and have the sub picked up.
As foxmulder says trust “no one”.
My experience follows - (from a transaction several years ago shipping a sub to Dan, never got paid)

Dan, the crate actually weighs 168 lbs., so I know that by removing parts of the sub I can get it under 150. However I cannot reduce the dimensions. I have already spent two hundred dollars on the two crates, not to mention about three days labor. I'm not about to make a smaller crate which I think would just about be impossible for a safe container for the sub. UPS freight is closed today, so I can't get an answer from them until Monday, but they are a cheaper alternative than FedEx, U.S. Postal Service, motor freight. If I can't reduce the shipping charges than maybe this deal just isn't working for either of us. The battery is currently in my motorcycle which I take out to run the sub. Attached are pictures of the two crates. It's not as though I haven't tried to make this work.

DAN CUSUMANO IS A CRIMINAL IN MY VIEW

        AVOID DAN CUSUMANO!!!!

To anyone who saw the exchange here on Subcommittee, I have been a victim of this evil liar and he got me for $144.85 for shipping a model to him that he never intended to pay shipping on. He is so inept that Marsh his wife has to write his emails because I dont think he is educated enough to spell or do emails. Emails that he DID send were between 5-10 words and usually mispelled, barely making sense.

He threatened [emptily I might add as I had all the cards] to call the Attorney General etc... because I would not ship his model without his paying the shipping costs up front! He is an evil liar and and a sub-human.

I like that someone posted their credit card number ... ha ha... Good one.

Dan said he sent me a money order for the shipment and encouraged me to go ahead and ship it. Up to that point I felt ok and then shipped the model. Then as SOON as he received it, Dan the idiot decided that he was simply not going to pay. So I said "but you said you sent the money order Dan!". He never sent a money order. It was simply a big LIE. I reported him to the San Leandro area Better Business Bureau and they have a watch on him now. I hope he ends up in jail and loses all that he has.

DAN CUSUMANO IS A CRIMINAL. I drove by his house in San Leandro in October, and its a crack house... Do not EVER trust the fool.
