Look at the numbers and see if it can be revised some. Since there is not a comlicated pumpjet (reliativly speaking), maybe it can be a little less money. It would snare more hull buyers.
But, it is a big epoxy hull, for sure. The price will be what the price will be.

All depends on how many are interesed. I may start taking pre-orders to see who's serious, but I'll announce that. It would be nice to have a fully detailed prototype for the 2007 Subregatta, as I did with my Virginia Class, but at this point it's premature to say that will happen.

Heres one idea. Howzabout making one or two of the missile hatches a seperate part right out of the box or even mechanically functional. That way it would be easier mount a working missile and if not could be easily glued back into place in the hull?

Little more work maybe a nifty "feature" to advertise

That's what I plan to do, make two different missile decks. That could become the part to lift off to access the WTC and mechanicals. Taking the time to make missile hatches operable for a kit would be way to cost prohibitive and time consuming to fabricate, but that would be great, I agree. That'll have to be something the model builder works out on his own.

When I begin, I will post the build here.

Since I jumped into this post, I have been looking at some way cool pictures of the Ohio class.
It sure would be exciting to see on at the regatta. What do you think Pete, is there enough time to get a hull laid by then, and at least bring a raw hull ?
