    New seawolf rc sub

Hi im looking at building my first rc sub with one of daves experiment wtc kits, the seawolf, but i was wondering do i need a APC-4 automatic level control? or a ADC-1 Automatic depth control?
And if i do need them how do they connect to the servos, esc and reciever.

Also does anybody know how the impeller on the seawolf works?

    An APC and/or ADC are

An APC and/or ADC are not essential for a working sub.

An APC is a nice addition, especially if you want to run straight and true at periscope depth. The ADC makes this even easier, but most sub modellers run without one.

An APC will connect between the rear hydrovane servo and the receiver- a simple inline connection. The ADC can also be placed in series with the APC and rear hydorvane servo, or connected between the front hydrovane servo and receiver.

The propulsor can be considered to work the same as a shrouded prop, which it essentially is.

I have been running my boat with both an APC and an ADC for several years. Andy is correct, you CAN run a boat without either one, however, the automatic pitch control will save you much effort and provide you wih
a far more satisfying experience. They are cheap to buy, easy to install, and don't take up much room in the WTC. The automatic depth control is something that can wait...not nearly as useful as the pitch control.
