Ballast System

I am planning to build a sub around 1 m long.

But I really don't know what kind of ballast system I should use.

Should it be a pump system or a system with presurised air/gas?

Please tell me whats good and bad about the systems, or even better tell me which one of them I should choose, and why.

Please help me.

apart from that, you get the best answers if you are specific
and show you have done your homework. what are your plans/design goals ?
what type of sub have you chosen to build ?
