Hi everybody. Well, I am awed by how seriously everyone takes this hobby, and the skills of you all! I've been lurking for awhile, wow! what a neat hobby! Well, i'm impressed!
I'm about 2 hours from manitowoc, where the cobia is. Been through the sub , and museum several times, met one of the crewmembers of the cobia, really nice guy, Once on a tour of the cobia, i heard a rumbling, and some vibration, i asked what it was, the tour guide told me, they were test running the engines! according to the guide they want to have the sub 100% OPERATIONAL! the museum is very involved in this project. Ironically the sub wasn't built in manitowoc, there is a manitowoc built sub in greece, i asked if they were going to go after it, they said no.
Eventually I would like to start a large scale rc sub, u boat or gato, not sure which, until then, i'm going to learn... a lot!
have fun, Ryan
