    Problems with Vendors

    Fellow Members,

We all use the forums to improve the quality, performance, and get help on resolving issues with our builds. Does this not encompass problems we have with vendors? I have had a photoetched deck set on order from ModelBrass Metalworking since middle of November Have placed a total of 4 emails that have been polite, understanding, and all I have ask for is a reply on expected delivery.

It has been totally silent, No Reply. By posting my delimea perhaps someone can help me to determine the lack of response and failure to receive my order. Payed by paypal.

At the same time others might come forward with similar complaints, let them speak and assist in reducing the number of headaches we have to deal with. But, No one has had any similar problems. Yet many individuals tell me he is a great guy, produces a great product, and he will resolve the issue.

Presently, I am not happy when I log in and see ModelBrass Metalworking Advertisments pasted to the top of my SubCommittee Home Page. But I will not belittle the company unfairly, things do slip thru the crack, computers crash, shipments get lost, etc.....

Just my opinion! Maybe I should just build static and use Jeff's deck kit.

    Respectfully, Richard Strickland

PS. I plan to call their phone number next year.

    Richard,

.......what Type VII model are you building? As far as I can tell, any of the PE decks can be used for either static or R/C.

        ...well, then I'm sorry to

...well, then I'm sorry to have say it, but I have not produced a deck in that scale. So you're basically 'stuck' waiting to hear back from Jason.

When the ROG Type VII first came out, I elected to not spend the time/money since Jason was going to be producing a deck.

Having said that, if you like the way the plastic deck in the ROG kit looks, you'll like the PE deck.

          I always suggest to anyone

I always suggest to anyone who has a problem with an order from any vendor to telephone the individual if an email isn't answered in a few days or you don't get a notice that your order was received. Emails go astray into spam boxes, computers die etc.

Jason's phone number is on his website http://www.modelbrass.com/

I was in the EXACT same situation as you, Richard.

I recently ordered the PE deck (VIIC) from the Modelbrass online store and paid via PayPal. However, after a few days of non-response to e-mails I became concerned and opened a dispute with PayPal.

Modelbrass contacted me shortly thereafter (on PayPal and also directly)... saying that my package was shipped today via airmail. I apologized for 'jumping the gun' after only a few days. In my defense I was quite concerned after several days of non-communication. Of course, I plan to cancel the dispute after I receive my package in good order.
