Image post fails again. A heads up guys

All the pictures are gone again from my site SP and now this one. This happens every week. Sometimes more than once. Last time the pictures were down for three days.

I have since stop using them or Imageshack as they both do this from time to time. Then you get emails asking about the pictures that aren't there.

So I switched to www.photobucket.com So far is always seems to work. You get a free account of 1 GIG. And album with nice easy to copy and past links to your pictures.

If you want to keep your building thread in an order that makes sense, plus save yourself the replies about where have the pictures gone, I suggest you use it or SC's home page. But you get bigger sized images from photobucket.

    Here's a copy of the

Here's a copy of the "how to photobucket" i've done on Steve's Subpirates site

Ok guys click on this link Photobucket

This takes you to the Photobucket home page.

click where the red circle is , takes you to here

then you choose your username and password.
next page will ask you for a valid Email address so use one your not to bothered about , msn/hotmail Email's are perfect lol.

You then upload your photos. It pretty straightforward , if you click on this bit

it gives you the option to restrict your image size thus

Once the photo's are uploaded you simply highlight and copy the following

then paste it directly into the message body WITHOUT using the Img button above and you get this

Do not forget that you should have storage on the subcommittee website
itself : your own memberpages !

here is a link to a photo on my memberpage, just for show :
      http://subcommittee.com/SubComm/images/ ... ACF3B4.JPG
      is

when you right-click on the photo, I get a "save location as" option
which copies the URL of the photo in your browsers cut/paste buffer.
      (I use firefox)
      couldn't be simpler !

I think everyone likes the ease and conveinience of having the "add image to this post" feature, but the on again / off again glitches with Post Image . org is a pain in the keister.

We've been discussing the possibility of having an "Add Image to this Post" choice that would go directly to your personal storage site on the SubCommittee Member home pages. It would be awhile before this could happen - as getting the main site rolled out is the next big priority.
