      I hope that the family

I hope that the family find someone in the trade that can take over and keep his legacy going by manufacturing his barrels/etc. I have not bought anything from him but looking at the quality of the barrels, etc on the website they would be idea for super detailing any kit.

      Thoughts go to his family

          I didn't have the privledge

I didn't have the privledge of meeting Steve, but I know from his reputation he was a fine craftsman and a gentleman. I hope someone who knows his family will be sure to print out this thread after a few days worth of posts and forward it to them. I know when we did that for Art Meyer a few years ago, his son and daughter were very appreciative to hear what his buddies thought about him.

            Doubly sad in that Steve

Doubly sad in that Steve was to be married just two weeks before he died suddenly of a massive coronary attack. It left his family & fiance stunned, to say the least. He was indeed the Master of CNC machining of brass ship parts.

I hope that the family find someone in the trade that can take over and keep his legacy going by manufacturing his barrels/etc.
There was a post from his closest friend on Steel Navy back about 4-5 weeks ago when Steve first passed that they intend to get the custom made CNC machinery into the hands of someone competent to carry on Steve's fine work.
