Just got the new issue yesterday, been a member since 93 and this is my favorite cover so far. Really like seeing a model someone built on the cover over a real sub. Just my opinion,, very good issue, really great coverage of the regatta............ thanks alot. Jeff Jones
Too old to Rock- n- Roll, too young to die ! Subs are just my speed......
[color=#000000]I concur, JeffL -- and I'm a staff member! You and Susan have truly outdone yourselves this time. Perhaps our best-looking issue ever! Love all the color cover photography, plus some really outstanding design work inside. A nod to Tim Smalley too]
You guys did it again.
Excellent issue!! I see more construction articles. That's the way to do it guys. Keep sending them in so Jeff can publish them. I just LOVE those construction articles. (Go figure)

As I noted in the From the Bridge for the September issue, it's my goal to have color covers for every issue. To do this, I need your help! Finding good color photos of submarines (model or otherwise) is a challenge since our favorite subjects tend to be.......black.
I understand that it can take six weeks to get a magazine "down under", but if you don't get your copy soon, contact Don Osler at membership@subcommittee.com and he will get you a replacement.
Note about color - I had checked into color covers for all issues back when we going through the editor change and found that the extra cost wouldn't a huge deal. Being the take charge guy he is, editor Jeff took the bull by the horns and ran with it. (Is that a mixed metaphor? )
I think it adds a great deal to the magazine and we'll continue as long as Jeff - or his successor (we are still looking for someone to take over from Jeff) can keep getting good quality (high resolution) color images.
By the way - Jeff doesn't want to have to keep doing this - he has done WAY more than his share for the organization for years - so we really need a member to step up and volunteer to be the new editor - NOW!
Contact Jeff (editor@subcommittee.com) if you have some interest in the editor job, and he can tell you what is involved.
Ah ok, I normally have it within 2 weeks, I am just getting a bit worried as AusPost has been loosing all sorts of stuff lately, seems that they lost jasons copy of dons book, and it doesn't look to good for my copy either ATM
