U.S/European frequency and Sub Regatta

Hi,

If I was to attend next years Sub Regatta, what is the score with radio frequencies?

I operate on 40mhz, which I believe is illegal in the States.

I don't really fancy purchasing a TX/RX combo just for a single event.

Is there a way of hiring or getting a loan of a combo for the regatta?
