Still a little confused.
In Norbert Brueggen's book "Submarine Technology" he states that at a depth of 10m water pressure is 1 bar. He then gives the following formula p=roxgxh where
p= pressure in bar
ro= Density of Fresh Water 0.998 kg per cubic meter
g=acceleration due to gravity 9.81m/s
h=depth in metres.
If you apply this formula using h=10 then you get the following result:
p=0.998x9.81x10 which equalls 97.90??
Am I stupid or am I applying the formula incorrectly?
