Hello All,

I am considering the Robbe U-47 as a project. Does anyone have any views they would like to share. Good, bad or otherwise. Also, is it a static or dynamic dive?

It works well enough within it's limits, however IMHO the Type VII is not the best suited subject for a dynamic diver.

Many have converted the kit to a static diver using an Engel piston tank, and this works well.

You may want to check out the Engel Lafayette, or perhaps their Type VII kit (expensive, but looks the business). Both those models are extremely well thought out, and perform brilliantly.
