anybody visiting any subs on summer hols ?

I will visit a Whiskey in Denmark while on holidays.

If anyone needs some sort of information or detail on that type
of sub, feel free to contact me and I'll see what I can find out.

It occurred to me that maybe a lot of us happen to visit
    interesting places this summer holidays.
If so, consider that other modellers might want to know
specific details about whatever you visit.

Why not post what you plan to visit, so others might
be able to ask you to clear up some detail ?

    happy holidays !

Ps. I became a submarine myself today (Open water diver) !
If you think trimming a sub is hard, try trimming a gelatinous,
compressible mass like me. Apologies to all underwater life I
    disturbed, crushed and scared

      Barb and i came back

Barb and i came back from a two week va-ca in Hawaii a week ago
and yes i spent two days in Pearl Harbor. one day at the Bowfin & museum and the next day was at the Arizona museum & memorial Wow it was great!!! i have been waiting to go to Pearl Harbor since i was five years old.
just to let everybody the USS Arizona memorial visitor center
is sinking into the landfill it was built on. Engineers estimate
that no more than 4 or 5 years before the occupation of the current structure becomes impossible. i was told construction starts next year and is projected to finnish in February of 2009. i dont know were they are moving the USS Bowfin to,
it shares part of the Arizona visitor center area as well. when i went on the USS Bowfin it looked in good shape there was alot of painting going on so i couldent get any pics of the bridge because it was closed off. the museum association has a staff thats keeps all the bright work on the Bowfin shinning !!!!!!!! it looked sweet!!
if anybody wants to find more about the memorial go to
