first of all I have to apologize too. I think it is not the job of this great board of the Subcommittee to make public relations for SONAR. But may be this is a way to bring both organizations some new impulses and to make the view over the lake a bit better in both directions. Some of our SONAR-members (me included) are still members of the Subcommittee. So we still had the chance, to read what's up here.
First of all we translate Edition 25 until July. This will be sent for free to the first 50 postal Adresses I can get. Inside will be the subscribing formular. If more than 40 people subscribe, we will continuing with translating edition 26 and ask for the Euros.
The more information sharing the better to help breathe new life into the RC submarine hobby! Many of us are members of a number of scale boat clubs and forums/boards. The more the merrier! No apologies needed.
nice Idea. But at the moment and I think for the next weeks we are very busy with translating our issue 25..... to translate old articles and printing in SR is no Problem with permission of the authors, because our club has not the copyright for the articles. We are only allowed to publish them in our magazine.
[color=#000000]There are even European who would like tsee a translated version. English is for most people easier to read and understand. And further more, it's always good to see how we Europeans tackle the same problems as the Americans. Both have different approaches.
I have to say sorry to all of You. Untill now there are only 36 interested people. We need at least 50-60 interested people to keep the costs for printing and so on at a payable level.
At the moment the projekt has to be canceled!
Best regards and thanks to all, who invested their time and affords in this.
Please drop me an e-mail with some details, let's see if we can drum up more interest, including through the SubCommittee Report.
Also, I'd like to discuss what you are seeing for printing costs. Perhaps we can leverage the relationship with our printer to help reduce costs that way as well.
