    ADC-1 - ADC-1  set-up

[color=#000000]Hi all, I wonder if I could get some advice regarding the set-up of my ADC-1. Forgive me if I am going over old ground ( I have read several threads about the ADC-1, but can't seem to find what I am looking for ). So here goes ]

    since you talk about preset

since you talk about preset depth, I guess this device senses
water pressure. if there is no water, it concludes it is surfaced,
and keeps the bow planes down as per spec.

    right ?

you might test with a syringe, putting pressure on the depth
    sensor.

    just guessing...

what part of the hose is in or out the wtc is not relevant. it must be long enough to stop water to reach the sensor, as the air is compressed when diving. a good idea is to make one or two coils in it, and maximise the vertical distance between
the inlet and the highest point of the hose.

      Thanks Raalst for the advice.

Thanks Raalst for the advice. As per your advice I have run a long pipe outside out of the WTC. However, I still am having the same problems as discussed above...anybody got any other ideas ? Thanks and best regards

        are you sure you fooled

[color=#000000]are you sure you fooled the boat into thinking it is submerged ?

[quote]Unless ADC-1 is turned off , the planes will always be in a dive position when the boat is surfaced."[quote]

one other thing crossed my mind ]

          Try putting the trim adjusment

Try putting the trim adjusment at full throw in the direction you want to move the transmitter stick for that channel, then move the transmitter stick.

            Hi All,

            Regrading overiding the ADC-1

            Hi All,

Regrading overiding the ADC-1 from the transmitter stick, you can only do this once the boat is in the water and at the pre-set depth. If you want to test this on the bench firstly make sure that you have everything switched on (and with the dive planes fully deflected to the fully down position). Next squeeze the tube about 5" from the ADC-1 until it is pinched (use a clothes peg or something similar, but it must be fully pinched) and then gently squeeze the tube between your finger and thumb. Squeezing the tube provides enough pressure to simulate the water pressure and if you squeeze it in and out the servo should deflect from the fully down position to the fully up position. If you are carefull you should be able to squeeze it just enough to hold the servo in approx. the mid position, simulating the pre-set water depth. Now whilst maintaining the servo in this position, with the other hand move the transmitter stick or the trim you should be able to overide the ADC-1 and the servo should move accordingly.

            Hope this helps.
