While on the topic, if I have operable front planes, is it advisable to put the ADC on the front planes, on its own and leave the APC on the rear, or have both on the rear planes?
Thanks
I got your instructions but have one last question. The ADC-1 has been sitting around for awhile and the two sets of servo wires were cut. I need to determine which set goes to the receiver and which set goes to the APC-3.
I will discribe what I see...
With the adjustment pot (numbered 0-9) in the upper left corner (as show on the instruction sheet) there is one set of 3 wires (L to R Orange, Red and Brown) along the TOP edge.
The other set of wires (Black, Red and Blue) has two wires attached at the TOP edge and 1 wire on the RIGHT edge.
The black wire is connected to the 1st set's Orange wire, the red is connected to the 1st set's Red wire and the Blue wire is off by it's self on the RIGHT edge of the circuit board.
I'm afraid I can't be 100% sure on this, as it sounds like an earlier version of the ADC-1 which pre-dates my takover of SubTech. I am guessing that the pressure pipe on your version sticks up vertically as opposed to laying down flat as shown on the diagram in the instructions? Also I suspect that the wires have been swapped around or possibly replaced to suit the older Airtronics radios, but here is my best stab at how it should be wired.
Starting from the white pot on the left the first wire should be brown (or black) this being the common wire, the second should be red and the third wire should be orange (or white) this being the 'signal' wire. These three wires should make up the 'Channel' wire or in other words should connect to the Rx.
The other set of wires should be black, red and white with the black connected with the 1st sets brown wire, the red connected with the first sets red wire and the white going to off by its self on the right of the board. This set makes up the 'Servo' wire which should have a female connector to accept the channel (male) connector from the APC.
Hopefully if Skip see's this post he will chip in and confirm this, but I will try to contact him and confirm the above. In the mean time if you can confirm the location of the pressure pipe this will help to narrow it down a bit and there may also be a number, something like 1.04 in black marker pen on the bottom right hand corner, which may also help identify the version.
If anyone has access to the back of their ADC-1, I have made an excel layout of the circuit board and would appreciate any help I can get. I have labeled where my wires are connected and just need confirmation before I remove them and solder new FUTABA wires in.
I can email the excel sheet to anyone who can help…my email is mikem@warwick.net
