The meeting last Saturday was fun. That scuba pool looks like a promising place for test running the boats. I found it interesting that one of the attendants was also into drag racing (Ray)...would have never guessed I'd meet a drag racer at an event for submarine people.

If one of your guys

If one of your guys can get back to me with the name of your group, a couple of contact people (with their contact info - doesn't have to be a "president" if you don't go that direction- it can just be someone we can keep in touch with) a logo (at some point), and the geographical area you are covering with your group, we can get you set up as an official SubRon.

Yes, Tim we will get you an official name in a few weeks, but could you for now just use a place filler like Desert Ron and then we will change it later. You can use me as a contact, I have just been a little busy trying to catch up from things of life.

A note, our next meeting should be on the 8th of April. This is coming up quick. Please get the word out to your friends, and let's get some ideas of what we want to do for next meeting. I might be close to having my U212 ready for the water. I think that I am about 3-4 weeks away from sea trials.

Tim, can you post the info about our meetings in the next SC Report? If you need more info feel free to call or email me, but the info has been posted in this thread before. Thanks guys, and I should be in a better position by Saturday to do some more sub stuff.

Serr gutt! I'll give you guys a working name of SubRon SW until you can come up with one on your own. I suspect once you start having fun runs, more guys from the SW states will start showing up.

So far all the chapters

So far all the chapters have SubRon or SubComm (for other countries) in the name, but I don't know of any hard and fast rules other than space considerations. If you guys come up with some ideas at your next meeting, we can run it by the SC Executive Committee.

By the way - we have added a new section for you guys in the chapters forum.
