    1/40th scale - scale question

    Hello all,
Looking at building a Type IXC or IXB. 1/40th scale, how does that break down? 1/40th = what?
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi,

Not exactly sure about what you are looking for but 1/40th scale would make it around the size of a Robbe U-47 (the Type IX U-boat was only slightly larger).

Sorry, I meant that the Type IX U-boat was larger than the Type VII by 10 meters, so a Type IX in 1/40th scale would out length a Robbe U-47 by a foot or so.

          1/40th Scale means the model

[color=#FF0000]1/40th Scale means the model is a 40th of the size of the real thing.

Therefore, if you need to find out how big something is in terms of your model, you take the full size measurement and divide by, your scale times 100.

          For example]
