    Folks,

    The Postal Service handles bulk

    Folks,

The Postal Service handles bulk mail as their lowest priority item. Essentially, it gets dealt with when everything else has been taken care of. (this from several of my USPS customers)

So, as Tim said.....if the waiting for your bulk rate issue is just too much, go first class!

          Thanks for the info!

          So

          [color=#000000]Thanks for the info!

So it was mailed from Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Jan 12 and arrived in Ottawa Ontario - Canada on Feb 8. Four days short of a month.

I was told by Ron Abir, the publisher of Scale and RC Boats Magazine, that the inaugural issue of the pub was mailed on Jan 8, from California and I still haven't received my copy (exactly one month so far WITHIN the US).

In these days of the increased expectation of instant gratification, the US and Canadian Postal Services - at least the bulk rate branch - brings us back to reality. It isn't just the SCR they are picking on (its everything sent bulk), nor just the Canadians (it is as slow within the US).

It is apparently the "IS" of things postal. ]

            Steve - You better.

Tim - I can confirm a second copy of the SCR has made it to Ottawa. I found it in the mail today. WooHoo ! I will also let you know when I get my copy of Scale and RC Boat Magazine.

Carl - Not sure if you are watching this thread, but way to go. You did a top notch job on polishing my article, thanks.

Folks, just as an FYI the SCR editors and support staff do more then just the layout. They make pure jibberish flow into a nice coherent article.

            Cheers

                      Ben,

I'm following the thread, just a few days behind due to work.

Thanks for the kind words, but I'm not the one who polished your article! One staff volunteer did proofreading/text editing and another did the layout and final polishing. I don't want to post their names without getting their permission first, but I also think they did an outstanding job, as did our other volunteers with their articles in this issue. It's really a team effort, and the team did an excellent job.

                      Thanks,

                      Carl

Nothing in Victoria, BC either. I think it takes time to transfer the mail from the sled dogs to the dolphins for crossing to the island...
