S/C member could use a call

    Hello gang.
Steve Reichmuth, researcher, model builder extraordinaire and all around good guy has had a heart attack. Steve's wife called me today and she feels that it would really cheer up Steve if he was to hear from some of his sub buddies, over the next 2-3 days.

He is in stable condition, but has a 5 bypass heart surgery. He's at a Bay Area hospital, not sure which one, in Oakland I think. The telephone # is 1-510-869-6537, room # 3380.

Join me in wishing all the best and a speedy recovery to one of our "brothers".

Has he had the bypass surgery already?

Please let Steve know we're thinking of him, and hoping for a speedy recovery. I hope he's back home and recuperating before Christmas.

Thanks for passing along the information for contacting him as well.

Just got through talking with Steve. His operation was this past Monday. He will likely be going home approx. this Tues. (20 DEC). He says "Hi and thank you for your thoughts and prayers." He was upbeat and reasonably talkative. The best time to phone him is between 10 AM and 8 PM California time.

This is for the admin guys,
Could we maybe temporarily pin this thread to allow all that would like to post their thoughts to steve? Sort of a get well card so to speak.
          What do you think?

                #### http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_sad.gif. I've met Steve,

                #### . I've met Steve, he sold me a fiberglass hull kit of Cousteaus Saucer earlier this year and I got to visit him at his house and see his sub under construction work. I'll call him later today. 'tis the season for stress illness. Right now I'm taking care of my dad who suffered a bad reaction to chemo, but after a week acting as male nurse I think he's coming back from it. Add to that I was in the ER overnight a few months ago for observation related to rapid heartbeat and I can definately commiserate with Steve and his family.

I just got off the phone with Steve and he says he feels good and may get out Monday. He says hello and thanks for the thoughts. I'm sending him my copy of the regatta to let him see how nice it is and maybe he'll come out next year if it's there.
