Sorry to hear that you have not (yet) received your September issue of the SCR, but let's be fair. This is a member volunteer driven organization. Sometimes it does take a bit longer to get a given issue of the SCR completed and printed.
One thing that we have always done is to make good on any lost or damaged issues. We will continue to do so.
I received my renewal yesterday and my September issue today. Those of us that don't pay for 1st class delivery are at the mercy of the USPS. BTW, I'm in Oregon.
$26.00 per year is a small price to pay for a membership in the Subcommittee. We have access to a great online forum with members all over the world who are willing to help and provide advise on a very technically oriented hobby. The four quarterly SCR magazines are unequaled in any hobby forum world wide and provides that extra special benefit of membership. We all have a tendance to consider the internet as free shareware entity, and many people who post in our forum are visitors and not members. If it were not for the members, then there would be no Subcommittee, and no online web site... Think about that possibility!
I have worked in the computer industry technical support area for nearly 43 years and I still go to this forum for information from the basic physics stuff, up to a WTC dive system design data. The resources of our friends and fellow members are invaluable. That's why I will renew my membership, and I hope you all will do the same!

Look in the vendors section of this site and at the ads and pages of the SubCommittee Report to find model companies who are members of the SC and/or donate to the SC raffles, buy ads in the magazine, post on this site to give advice, etc.
If it weren't for them, most of us M3-ers (Mere Modeling Mortals ]
Sept. issue just arrived in the mail a few minutes ago. Preliminary lookthrough looks great, especially the article on the mechanical mixer for x-tails. Makes me want to pound out a Collins or Sjoormen of my own!

Just to finish the saga - SC membership chair Don Osler telephoned Bud a few evenings ago.
Come to find out - it seems there was a mix-up in the apartment number in the SC membership database for Bud's address. It is all straightened out and a fresh copy was sent winging its way to him.
