2006 Regatta

If I'm posting old news please forgive me. I haven't heard anything for sure on the '06 Regatta, but in reading the Indy Admirals newsletter, it seems that they have already planned on having it there, if we want. This is great news and I hope it's a go.

Just to clarify Casey - Don't pack your bags for Indianpolis yet

SubRon6 hasn't even officially applied yet to the SubCommittee Executive Committee to hold the regatta in Carmel in '06. The Admirals are basically saying that if we want to come, they will be happy to help.

We will work with the SC Executive Committee since it is their decision to make. There may even be another SubRon out there that wants to give it a try!

Normally, that is a decision made in the January timeframe...and since we have an election in progress, we would prefer that the incoming SC officers evaluate proposals from the Local Chapters for the regatta. This seems only fair since they will be the ones that will hold the responsibility come 2006.

But not to worry.....there will definitely be a regatta next year!

It's really up to SubRon6 to decide if they wish to host another regatta.

...and I believe that just about everyone wouldn't mind seeing it back at Carmel.....but we have lots of time to nal this down.

I just love the drive to Indy. I can't imagine a better place. But as you said we have plenty of time and I have building to do.
