Hi
Can anyone help me please? I bought a Sub on EBay some months back - a sheerline OHIO. I've only sailed it once but seem to have run into some difficulties. All seem fined when tested on the stand, however I can no longer get the hydroplanes to work. I've tested the servo ok, and the receiver works (although I am confused where it gets its power from, as there is no lead attached to the Battery socket!??). Close to the servo for the planes is a small circuit (which I presume is the autoleveller) but there are no markings on it to identify it - there are 3 leds (yellow, white and green), when the 12V battery is attached to the main terminals of the sub, the yellow and green leds alternate on/off. The White LED remains off. There is a switch (which I presume allows you to set horizontal, but pressing it has little effect. Since taking the sub apart to idenfify the problem I've now run into further problems, where the speed controller, continually alarms 'no signal' but again I can find no problem with the wiring. The motor also now fails to run, although the servos (except the hydroplane) all energies when power is applied, but don't move under control from the handset. The problems are as I see it are twofold - 1)something is wrong with the setup on the speed controller (www.modelcontrollers.co.uk is printed on the controller but this link no longer works), as I have tried a different handset, receiver and crystals all with no change to the problem. 2) something is wrong with the levelling circuits preventing the planes working.
Anyone offer any advice on solving this crisis please?
regards Roddy
