    Its a very small market

Its a very small market so jobs might be hard to come by.

But then again, you can always work of the Patent and Trademark office with that degree.

      Hi,
      You don't say how old

      Hi,
You don't say how old you are, or what level of education you presently have, but any engineering degree will require a very heavy application of math and science skills.
Good luck, and get ready to hit the books for a lot of years.

            I know of a Naval

I know of a Naval Architect who graduated from Michigan and was interested mainly in sailboats. He has worked on submarines and resin structures unrelated to shipbuilding, among his many jobs.
