    Piezoelectric Transducer - Piezoelectric Transducer

I'm thinking about investigating building my own piezoelectric transducer for a model submarine and I was wondering if anyone out there has ever tried anything like this? Underwater acoustics are a very complicated field and before I proceed (or don't proceed), I wanted to get a feeling as to how reasonable such an undertaking is. If anyone has any experiences they'd like to share, it'd be much appreciated.

Also Panasonic do some piezo speakers that are small, flat, and have a wide acoustic range (150hz-100000hz).

I've seen those available from Digikey.

    More info here-

They're in the bottom righthand corner of the pdf file, listed as card speakers

But you can probably still purchase some from Digikey.

      Get 'em while they're hot!
