    AKULA front diving planes

    Hello,
I have found this interesting link to russian wegsite showing drowning of Project 971 AKULA in all three versions]Webpage[/url]
It seems, from the pictures, that AKULA has not retractable front dive planes. Does anybody know more about this?
    Any info welcomed. Thank you.

    Refrence your website again.
    They

    Refrence your website again.
They are there. midline in the front 1/3 of the hull, an end-on drawing of them.
Other than that, I have an obscured photo in drydock clearly showing one extended, but behind a lot of girders surrounding the boat.
Last year I did a thing on the Akula in one of the Reports that has a good detail drawing of the Akula, with correctly shaped planes.
    So, yea they do

          Thank you for replay -

Thank you for replay - the language - sorry, and thanks for patience.
Btw, in the picture below, front dive planes are not visible at all. Think, if they are there, they have to be retracted inside - so they are retractable and that painting on the webpage is wrong showing non-retractable front dive planes.

Ones to see = hundred times to hear.

              So you will understand, even

So you will understand, even the shape of the bow planes looks correct.

Alfa bow planes retract straight in,not swing back like other Russian boats. I will have to watch the video again to see.

But yes, they retract.Yes, that is the correct shape.Yes, it is the correct location.

                Opps,
Alfa bowplanes-- This is an Akula.
I meant they may retract like the Alfa. But, my suspecion is they swing back.
They Alfa had no room, that is why they retracted straight in.
