Lockheed Deep Quest - Information required

Has anyone got any good info on the Lockheed Deep Quest submersible?

    Looking mainly for pictures.

I have a few from the web, plus a description of the vessel.

I have been given some 15" fibreglass mouldings which I've renovated, and now need to detail.

The model had been built to a generic 'submersible' type craft. However I'd like to do something more with it, if I can get the right information.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

    All I have is this

All I have is this artists conception from an old book on subs.

You'll want to save it as eventually I'll delete it.

      Have you tried to contact

Have you tried to contact The Naval Undersea Museum directly? As Deep Quest is on permanent display there, I would be inclined, IMHO, to think they would be more than willing to help with your research.

          That is the one. But

That is the one. But that is a Vacform model, I have an original fibreglass model.

The vac form model was produced using tooling from the fibreglass original, the design was modified slightly though.

I do have the Vacform model too, although IMHO the GRP version is a lot nicer altogether.

The GRP model is over 20 years old, and long since out of production. The chap that gave it to me , told me he got it from Slough models in Berkshire (UK).
