Burnt out motors or speed control? - rescued sub still has problem

    Hi All
I posted a message a while back about my sub that sank and was recovered. All the radio and engel ballast system works fine after they dried out. The motors will not work. I do not know if they were burnt out somehow or the speed control is not working. The speed control has a bec in it so power is going through it to other servoes and engel system. The lights on it light up to imputs from the transmitter. eg. forward, reverse , and neutral. My thought is that when water hit the hot motors it may have screwed them up. I have Al's motor replacement for my Robbe type 7 and it can be replaced. Any thoughts?

    I would think there are

I would think there are 2 different ways to determine what may be wrong.
Hook up a known working motor to SCU in question and see if it runs.

Hook the questionable motors to direct power to see if they work.
More than likely the SCU is wiped out, but would help to know what type it is.
